Welcome to Fossil Park Swim Team!  This summer your team has two coaches.  Coach Kevin Mooren will coach the morning practice and Coach Abby Berlin will coach the afternoon practice.

Coach Kevin has been coaching since 2006 as an assistant coach with the St. Petersburg Aquatics Junior Team based at North Shore Pool. During the summer, he coaches at Fossil Park and teaches adult swim lessons for the City of St. Petersburg. He is a USA Swimming Level 1 Certified Coach and a USA Swimming official at the referee level.  

Kevin is married and has two daughters, both of whom swam for St. Petersburg Aquatics.  

Coach Abby has been with St. Petersburg Aquatics since 2021 as a Summer Swim League coach.  Prior to coaching, she was an athlete member of St. Petersburg Aquatics for 6 year.  She has experience teaching swim lessons for children and adults for the City of St. Petersburg.  Abby will be graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  She is a USA Swimming Level 1 Certified Coach.

Practice I:

Monday through Thursday      

7:30 am – 8:30 am (begins June 3, 2024)

 

Practice II: 

Monday through Friday          

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm (begins May 30, 2024) 

 

Cost: 

$140.00 per swimmer 

plus

$47.50 per swimmer for required Seasonal USA Swimming membership.  Brand new members must self-register through USA Swimming SWIMS 3.0.  Special link will be sent upon confirmation of registration.  Credit or debit card required to complete transaction.

Eligibility:  Priority is given to current Junior Team, McLin, Walter Fuller and SPA Summer Swim League past participants based on available space.

TEAM OUTFITTING:  Tuesday, June 4 at Shore Acres Pool 4:00-6:30 PM

Friday, June 7:  Virtual meet at home pool Fossil Park vs. Shore Acres - 4:15 pm

Saturday, June 15:  Fossil Park vs. McLin & Lake Vista @ North Shore Pool - 8:15 am warm-up/8:30 am start

Saturday, June 22:  Developmental Meet @ North Shore Pool - 8:00 am warm-up/9:00 am start

Friday, June 28: Fossil Park vs. Shore Acres @ Shore Acres Pool - 4:30 pm warm-up/4:45 pm start 

Friday, July 5:  Fossil Park vs. Walter Fuller & Northwest @ North Shore Pool - 4:30 pm warm-up/4:45 pm start

Saturday, July 13: SSL Championship @ North Shore - 8:30 am warm-up/9:30 am start

Friday-Sunday, July 19-21:  All Star /Area 3 Championship Meet @ North Shore
